The two words to best describe Frankie and Kerry’s wedding day are personal and intimate. Every step of the day, was full of meaning, memories and so much love. After hair and make up, Kerry spent the hours before walking down the aisle at the Atwood House – a historical, charming bed and breakfast owned and operated by Frankie’s uncle. To ensure Frankie didn’t see Kerry before the ceremony, Chief (everyone’s favorite Dog of Honor), kept Frankie company while he and his groomsmen prepared for the ceremony.
By early afternoon, Kerry met Frankie at the end of the aisle in St. Mary’s Catholic Church to exchange vows and rings in front of their closest family and friends. After the Saber arch exit, we were able to take full advantage of having the entire Atwood House for portraits! This bed and breakfast is packed full of history, charm and beautifully decorated with a well manicured garden. I couldn’t have selected a better location!
Before we headed to cocktail hour, we made a quick stop outside the Courthouse to ensure we had portraits of where Frankie and Kerry civilly married earlier this year. The architecture in Chillicothe, Ohio within this three block radius was unreal – cue all the feels from this photographer’s heart!
It was finally time for cocktail hour and the reception! Entering Frankie’s parents backyard, I was so impressed with the amount of work, time and thought that went into transforming Frankie’s parents backyard into the PERFECT reception space to celebrate Kerry and Frankie! There was no shortage of sweet moments and laughter – from Kerry’s dad singing the first dance song to her, all the mothers and sons invited to the dance floor after Frankie’s dance with his mom and epic speeches that kept the laughs rolling.
To say their day was over flowing with love is an understatement! Frankie & Kerry – thank you for choosing me to document your day! It was truly an honor to work with both you and your amazing family and friends!
