Elaina and Zach’s story all started with a book club and ice cream. After initially meeting at a church book group, Elaina and Zach shared their first date at Graeter’s ice cream. Six months later, Zach brought Elaina to Mt Adams – one of their favorite spots, over looking the Ohio River. After waiting for the perfect moment, he dropped to one knee asking Elaina to start a new chapter of life together as his wife.

At the end of May, Zach and Elaina celebrated the beginning of their marriage surrounded by family and friends at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Columbus, Ohio. Tradition, family and love were interwoven throughout their entire wedding day at every turn. One of the most memorable moments of the day was the time spent in the cathedral’s courtyard before the ceremony with Elaina and her parents.

Elaina’s mother finished buttoning the last button on her dress. The same dress Elaina’s mother wore years ago as she prepared to walk down the aisle. Now, Elaina was preparing for her father to see her in the same wedding dress for their first look. The moment Elaina’s father saw his daughter for the first time was perfect. His expressions in the images below say it better than words could – the sweetest moment on one of his daughter’s most memorable days.

Those priceless moments continued through the ceremony and reception. Elaina’s uncle officiated their ceremony, where Zach snuck in the sweetest smile admiring his bride during the ceremony.

And the reception is one I will never forget it! Elaina and Zach’s wedding was my first Greek ceremony and reception. I was so excited for the Greek dances Elaina and Zach told me about during our consultation. It was so much fun to see the Greek dances and the dancing did not stop there. The dance floor was packed all night celebrating the newlyweds!
