Even in a small town, sometimes it takes just a little social media intervention to spark the connection. That was exactly how Katie and Jason’s story played out. With only a couple years between the two and knowing each other’s families, they didn’t start dating until reconnecting on Facebook. After reconnecting, the rest was history when Jason proposed on South Padre island during a family vacation.
The newest Mr and Mrs celebrated the beginning of marriage with family and friends at St. Nicholas in Sunman, Indiana. As the ceremony began inside so did the rain. Thankfully, the rain mostly let up as we headed to Katie’s grandparents home for Husband and Wife portraits. Katie and Jason were absolute troopers! Even with a light drizzle, they championed through all their portraits. It was so worth it when seeing the final images below! It did finally stop raining and we were able to take advantage of the beautiful property at Katie’s grandparents which holds so much meaning.
The last stop before welcoming the newlyweds into their reception was Ertel Cellars Winery! The vineyard was overflowing with grapes. Such a stunning backdrop!
Katie and Jason finished the night off popping a bottle of champagne during sunset portraits. Such a fun way to end the last Husband and Wife portraits and relax after a busy day of celebrating with family and friends!
