Eight years prior to their wedding day (just one day short!), Megan and Charlie met on the bus during high school marching band. With almost a decade of milestones as a couple, the high sweethearts celebrated their newest milestone as they began their marriage in front of their closest family and friends at WatersEdge in Columbus, Ohio.
During a cozy ceremony by the fire, Megan and Charlie exchanged personal, hand written vows. Both Megan and Charlie’s fathers, helped facilitate the handfasting ritual in which knots were tied to signify the beginning of Megan and Charlie’s unity as husband and wife.
After the ceremony, with snow falling and clear umbrellas in hand, we took advantage of the unexpected snow as family and friends moved to a mimosa themed cocktail hour. Megan and Charlie were troopers as we photographed their Husband and Wife portraits on the snow covered terrace! The timing very rarely aligns that we get to photograph during a snow fall (especially in November!). Such a treat to photograph in the snow!
The brunch style reception kicked off with heartfelt toasts from father of the bride and groom, giving family and friends a closer look at Megan and Charlie’s childhood and their eight year relationship. Followed by toasts from Maid of Honor and Best Man, guests then packed the dance floor to celebrate the newest newlyweds!
Megan & Charlie – The biggest congratulations and sending the best wishes as you begin your marriage!
