Originally built in 1820, the German Village in downtown Columbus is filled with old-world charm. From brick houses to small shops and eateries. This is one of the many gems of downtown that makes it so fun to be a Columbus photographer! I loved capturing Aaron and Nicole’s German Village engagement photos with their pup, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
Aaron & Nicole
In their final year of medical school at OSU, Aaron and Nicole met by fate. They both came from out of state, but together they have made Columbus their home for the last nine years. I love working with couples like Aaron and Nicole because they are just so sweet and so in love! Which makes it even more exciting that I get the honor of capturing their 2024 wedding at The Westin in Columbus, Ohio.
German Village
Being just south of downtown Columbus means this location isn’t as busy but still has a good amount of foot traffic. Residential streets tend to be more quiet than the streets where shops and eateries are located. So when you book your engagement session here, we will likely stick to the quiet areas for a more intimate experience.
German Village Engagement Photos
German Village Engagement Photos offer quaint backdrops of 19th-century homes, stone-paved sidewalks and lush gardens. It screams of history and the dedication of the immigrants that built this part of the city. It is a very cute but elegant spot, and may just be one of my favorites!
Another plus is that you can bring your pet along for a few pictures, too! Which is exactly what Aaron and Nicole did. There pup Murphy posed with them at the beginning of their session before we got the more traditional engagement photos taken.
