Wright State, like so many college campuses, is home to thousands of beginnings – friendships, careers and legacies. Among those is the beginning of Alyssa and Jeremy’s story.

What started as dorm room neighbors freshmen year and engineering classmates, grew into much more. By fall sophomore year, Alyssa and Jeremy took the leap into dating and never looked back.

Fast forward a few years to March 2020 and Jeremy planned every detail for the big proposal. A full day starting at their first date and ending with family and friends to celebrate their engagement.

But then covid shutdowns happened…

As the announcement of restaurant closings began, Jeremy acted quick and moved the engagement up an entire week! Even with a last minute date change, Jeremy managed to pull off the proposal almost exactly as previously planned. Complete with Alyssa’s dream ring!

Captivated by the moment, Alyssa didn’t notice the ring until Jeremy asked, “do you want it?”! Alyssa’s dream engagement ring and her grandmother’s gold band both held a prominent place on her hand during her wedding day. The legacy of Alyssa and Jeremy’s grandparents lived throughout their entire wedding day. From Jeremy’s grandfather’s cuff links to Alyssa’s grandfather’s pin, these items were physical symbols of the life, love and family their grandparents had created. All leading to Alyssa and Jeremy’s beautiful wedding day and the beginning of their legacy as Mr. and Mrs. Clark.
