Living only yards away from each other, Kayla and Tyler first met online. Building a strong foundation over several months, the couple made it official six months after their first wine and The Grinch movie date (very fitting since it was December!).

Less than a year into dating, the couple navigated together Tyler’s eight month deployment before finally being reunited in May 2020. It wasn’t long after Tyler’s return, they had more than a safe return home to celebrate.

In October 2020, a year after Tyler’s deployment and five months of in home date nights (thanks COVID), Tyler made plans for date night out. A reservation was made and one of Kayla’s friends was in on the surprise. This friend, posing as having a bad day, convinced Kayla to get her nails and hair done before her dinner date with Tyler. Having no idea what was about to happen, Kayla had her nails and hair done. She went to dinner without suspecting a thing. During dinner, Tyler planted the seed that they should play a board game when they get home.

Arriving home, Tyler asked which board game they should play followed up quickly with the big question – “Will you marry me?”. Kayla was so shocked that Tyler had to ask twice!

After celebrating their engagement, the couple began planning their October 2021 wedding at High Acres Farm in Piqua, Ohio.

High Acres Farm is a gorgeous, polo barn style wedding venue over looking a massive pond with all the amenities a bride and groom could ask for! Kayla and Tyler celebrated the beginning of marriage at an outdoor ceremony overlooking the pond. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed outdoor yard games and a fire pit with s’mores bar before heading inside to the reception space to dance the night away.
