Downtown Columbus Wedding | Erika & Matt

Prepared for a cozy night in to celebrate the new year, Erika was in for a huge surprise. As the clock hit midnight, Matt dropped to one knee and asked Erika to begin 2021 as his fiancĂ©. After saying “Yes!”, they celebrated the rest of the night with close friends as they began the new year.

Fast forward just under a year and Erika is ready to take on a new title – Mrs. White! With her five sisters and close friends, the ladies spent the morning jamming to music while getting Erika ready for her big day. Erika stepped into her dress, lined with buttons ready for her first looks. First, she revealed her dress her bridesmaids before we crossed the street to meet her Father. Soon after, it was time for the moment for Matt to see his soon to be wife!

With a tap on the shoulder, Matt turned to see Erika dressed to the nines. After sharing handwritten letters to each other, we headed to The Renaissance Hotel rooftop for portraits. The city skyline was the perfect backdrop as we photographed the wedding party and Bride and Groom portraits!

After rocking their portraits in the chilly weather, it was time to get these two married at The Vault! Their closest family and friends gathered to see Erika escorted down the aisle by her Father, wearing her Mother’s veil. The sweet, caring “Mom” of her friend group, officially gained her bonus daughter during the sand ceremony when Matt, Erika and Charleigh mixed the pouring of sand.

With a quick cocktail hour after the ceremony, the newlyweds were ready to celebrate with guests! The party started with a table hop and the Bride and Groom grabbing a picture with each table in one song! The energy continued from there and guests packed the dance floor to celebrate – including Grandpa as one of the first to the dance floor!

Matt & Erika – Thank you for the opportunity to celebrate your marriage and photograph your wedding! It was an honor and wishing you all the best as you ring the 2022 as newlyweds!
