Fall Wedding at Pinnacle Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio
Stunning, intentional and full of so much love! These are just a few words to describe Jamie and Nathan’s Pinnacle Golf Club wedding. There is so much to share this blog could easily be a novel!
Beginning the Day with Intention
The ladies relaxed in an adorable airbnb in the heart of German Village during hair and make up in matching pajamas. With most wedding mornings the hours quickly passed by and it was time for Jamie to slip on her gown.
The bridesmaids wore coordinating gowns (love this look!). They were the first to see Jamie as she ascended the staircase for the bridesmaids reveal. Jamie was an absolute vision in her fitted gown and train. After hugs and a few tears, it was time for Jamie to see her dad.
As the youngest and only daughter, I was so excited Jamie set aside intentional time to connect with her dad the morning of her wedding. This father and daughter moment was so special. Tears, hugs, personalized cuff links and straightening her dad’s bow tie, all made these few minutes personal and meaningful.
While we finished up the father daughter first look, the gentlemen arrived in the bus around the corner. Jamie briefly moved inside as Nathan prepared to see his soon to be wife for the first time. Wearing the watch Jamie gifted him that morning, Nathan anxiously awaited for Jamie to tap his shoulder. On the brick sidewalk of German Village they saw each other for the first time in full wedding attire. Nathan in his custom tux and Jamie in her gown that fit like a glove.
Wedding Portraits at Ohio State House
After talking for a few minutes, they walked to the bus for portraits. We planned three different portrait locations. The first location was the Ohio State House. This is one of my favorite locations for wedding portraits because of the classic and timeless feel. I learned during portraits Nathan loves history. We were able to sneak in a few pictures with the historical pieces outside the Ohio State House to give their portraits an extra dose of personal touch!
After the Ohio State House portraits, it was time to drive Jamie and Nathan to the church for the ceremony. Where had the first half of the day gone?! One of my favorite ceremony moments frozen in time is Jamie and her dad before their walk down the aisle. Just before they stepped through the doors, Jamie leaned over to kiss her dad on the cheek. What a joy it is to freeze these significant moments in time through a photograph.
Closing the ceremony celebration guests lined the steps of the church to welcome the newlyweds. Jamie and Nathan sealed the exit with a dip kiss which they mastered! It was time to head to the second portrait location – German Village. Another favorite portrait location for husband and wife portraits. As the wedding party celebrated on the bus we spent time on a few blocks in the historic area of Columbus. The charm is unbeatable and Jamie and Nathan had that just married glow!
Reception Surprise at Pinnacle Golf Club Wedding
It was finally time for cocktail hour at Pinnacle Golf Club in Grove City, Ohio. It was important to the newlyweds to spend as much time with guests during their day. Knowing this, we were able to plan their timeline to reflect this priority so they could attend the full cocktail hour. Everyone mingled with music from the baby grand piano in the background played by a friend.
Champagne was poured and guests were ushered into the reception hall. Jamie’s dad had a trick up his sleeve. As a confetti fan, he planned to add confetti to Jamie and Nathan’s grand entrance into the reception hall. He enlisted help and Nathan topped off their entrance with a dip as confetti flew.
The celebration was fully underway. The welcome speech began from Jamie’s dad before we slipped outside for sunset portraits during dinner. Wow! The weather all day was beautiful and the sunset did not disappoint. Champagne in hand, we spent a few minutes grabbing the last set of husband and wife portraits of their day before heading back into the reception.
Dances and toasts rounded out the reception before the dance floor opened with Proud Mary. A tradition for Jamie’s family. Jamie and her dad began the dance as family and friends joined in to officially open the dance floor. This was the perfect representation of the joy and fun had on their day. From beginning to end, Jamie and Nathan’s day was a celebration of their love, commitment and the support they are surrounded by.
