Downtown Cincinnati, Ohio Wedding
Kentucky Bride Publication
I am so excited to share Chelsea and Tim’s Anderson Pavilion Wedding in Cincinnati, Ohio. Chelsea poured her heart into planning every detail and the perfect day. While planning, Chelsea heavily leaned into the design and style elements in Kentucky Bride publication. The classic and timeless style mirrored Chelsea’s vision.
Less than two months after Chelsea and Tim said, “I do”, their wedding was accepted by Kentucky Bride to be published on their blog! A full circle moment since many design elements were influenced by the very publication featuring her own wedding!
Where it Started
Before planning their wedding was even a thought, the foundation of Chelsea and Tim’s relationship began in Columbus, Ohio during high school. The two began dating in high school, handled long distance while Tim began college and eventually both graduated from the University of Cincinnati as engineers once Chelsea joined Tim at UC after high school graduation. They grew together over the years as they walked through life milestones together.
They added another milestone in August 2021 when Tim planned a riverfront proposal. Surrounded with family, friends and their dog Ruby, Tim asked Chelsea to marry him. They celebrated with a surprise engagement party afterwards to cap off the night!
Summer Anderson Pavilion Wedding on the River
Fast forward to June 2023 and it was time to change their titles to husband and wife! We spent the morning in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio at Anderson Pavilion. Only steps to the riverfront, it was fitting to spend time for portraits just across the river from where Tim proposed. It began with Chelsea and her dad’s first look. With Chelsea’s mom and grandparents looking on, Chelsea’s dad saw his little girl all grown up in her wedding gown for the first time.
The weather was picture perfect as we finished up wedding party pictures and headed to the church. Chelsea walked down the aisle to meet Tim and was an absolute vision in her classic A line dress. Tim’s smile says it all.
As we transitioned to portraits after the ceremony, we honored a long standing Kentucky tradition of burying a bottle of bourbon to ward off rain. Tim located the mini bottle, dug it up and they both shared in finishing the bottle to keep the tradition alive! It is fair to say I am a believer in this tradition since we only experience a few sprinkles the entire day!
Back at the reception space for cocktail hour, guests enjoyed themselves outside and inside as we finished husband and wife pictures. The celebration quickly began with toasts, dances and greeting each guest. The dance floor opened with an overflow of guests ready to join in and late night snacks to keep the party going!
