I am so excited to kick off my blog with Leah and Stephen’s German Village proposal! Stephen reached out mid May and we spent the next two weeks planning all the logistics…including a facetime call in the car (so Leah didn’t know!) and a “run into the office” so we could walk through exactly where the proposal would take place.
Schiller Park in German Village
Stephen chose Schiller Park in German Village as the proposal location since they frequently take walks in the park – a perfect location with meaning to them! However, if this park doesn’t have significance in your relationship, I would still recommend it for a proposal or engagement photos.
The park is located on the south side of Columbus, across the street from the Greenlawn Avenue Low Head Reservoir. Being the village center for festivals and neighborhood activities since the early 1800s give this location history and charm. Featuring a small pond with ducks, a darling bridge over the water, lawns scattered with trees, and lush gardens. Schiller Park is a beautiful location for a German Village proposal!
The Proposal
The day of the proposal was beautiful and Leah had no idea she was about to get engaged! Stephen and Leah walked up the brick path, Stephen handed Leah a notebook and dropped to one knee! She said “YES”, was so surprised but there was still more to come! Stephen planned a party afterwards to celebrate their engagement! I can’t say enough how thoughtful his entire proposal was and how sweet this couple is! Congratulations Stephen and Leah!!

Thanks for sharing our story Ashleigh! It wouldn’t have been possible without all of the great work you did for us. Can’t wait to see more future stories of yours!
