Maggie and Matt’s wedding day at The Westin in Columbus, Ohio was nothing short of amazing! The perfect mix of elegance, class and a couple overflowing with love to share. This is what dreams are made of!
I met Maggie and Matt a few years ago and couldn’t be more excited (and SO honored) to photograph their wedding! Their story began in high school after Matt asked Maggie out to dinner. The rest is history and in September they celebrated their newest milestone – marriage!
The ladies began the day in cozy navy, matching jammies during hair and make up in downtown Columbus, Ohio. As I finished detail photographs and make up concluded, we packed up and traveled to the ceremony.
Immaculate Conception Church is stunning with high vaulted ceilings and light stone. Family and friends gathered to witness Matt and Maggie exchange vows and rings. The newlyweds took their first walk out of the church together through a bubble celebration with all guests lining their exit.
With the ceremony and reception located in downtown Columbus, we were able to spend their entire portrait time in downtown and German Village. Two of my favorite locations for wedding portraits in Columbus, Ohio! There is something magically about strolling the streets of German Village with a newlyweds.
Wrapping up portraits, we headed to the reception at The Westin in Downtown Columbus. The Westin provided the perfect backdrop for Maggie and Matt’s reception. From the moment walking in, there is an air of elegance that fills the room and sets the tone.
After introductions, the celebration was kicked off with speeches. I love speeches as it gives an insider view about the couple from the family and friends closest to them. These speeches did not disappoint! There were tears, so much laughter and the sweetest stories speaking to the finest qualities of Maggie and Matt.
